Dear Friends,
We will, once again, be participating as a parish family in 24 Hours for the Lord, an initiative called for by Pope Francis. We will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament beginning on Friday, March 12 at 4:00 P.M. until Saturday, March 13 at 4:00 P.M. in our lower church. Confessions will be heard on Saturday, March 13 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M., from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M., and from 3:15 - 4:15 P.M. Please join us for this sacred time of encounter with the Lord Jesus in the Eucharist and in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. There is a chart in the rear of the upper church for you to sign up, in half-hour increments, for periods of adoration. Our goal is for the Blessed Sacrament not to be left alone during this twenty-four hour period. Thank you for being willing to keep vigil with our Eucharistic Lord.
Please join us for our Triduum in Honor of Saint Joseph, which will be celebrated from Tuesday, March 16th through Thursday, March 18th at 7:00 P.M. in the upper church. Each evening’s services include the Triduum prayers, a homily, and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Our own Father Jason Buck will be the preacher for all three evenings. I invite you to gather with us as we invoke the intercession and protection of this most powerful saint, particularly in this special year dedicated to him.
Once again, I remind you:
Remember as well your Lenten tools: the Little Black Books, the Lenten quarter folders, and the cardboard rice bowls, all of which are meant to assist you in your Lenten prayer and almsgiving.
Know that you and those you love are daily remembered in my Mass and my prayers.
Love and prayers,
Father Olivere
